Episode 86 – Ron Engelman is the head Instructor of Krav Maga Israel

Ron Engelman has been doing Krav Maga since he was a young boy. When he moved to Israel he was fortunate to live near Netanya the proverbial epicenter of Krav Maga. Since then he never looked back eventually becoming both an IDF combat soldier and Krav Maga Instructor. He has been in the military for nearly 20 years and has been teaching Krav Maga to soldiers and civilians. He spent time in Australia where he attended university getting a degree in psychology and where he founded the Krav Maga Defence Institute (KMDI) which is now in the hands of his students. Ron now is the Head Instructor at Krav Maga Israel where he teaches civilians and instructors from Israel and all over the world. In this episode we discuss Ron's Origin story, Krav Maga mentalities, Krav Maga training, His teaching approach and philosophies and Israel. As well as really defining Self Defense vs a fight.
