In this episode Host Jonathan Fader goes over a series he wrote on the three main approaches/styles to Krav Maga, Military, Police and Security and Civilian. While we at UTKM believe a good program should start with one and build up to the others, Civilian Application>LE Application>Military Application to properly understand all potential self defense scenarios many schools and organizations may focus on one area over the others. This may because of the philosophy of the place or simply because of the instructors past experiences and skills. Regardless it should be principle based and address the specific needs of those being taught as each application is different and needs a slightly different focus and approach.
